Text Commentary

1And the bright twelfth waters that you saw – this is the meaning of them. 2After all this, a time will come when your people will be in such a sorry state that there is a risk of their perishing altogether. 3Even so, they will be saved, and their enemies will fall before them. 4,5And for a time they will have much joy. And then, after a short interval, Zion will be rebuilt, and its offerings will be restored again, and the priests will return to their ministry, and the Gentiles also will come and acclaim it. 1 Lit. ‘come to glorify it’. 6However, things will not be as they were in former times. 7And after this, disaster will strike many nations. 8These are the bright waters that you saw.

Notes:

1 Lit. ‘come to glorify it’.
