Contemplate and see 1 So UD′ Gk.a: all other Eth. MSS ‘I contemplated and saw’; Aram. ‘Consider’. how all the trees 2 Gk.a om. iiib – v. 1a by homoioteleuton and reads only ‘Contemplate and see all the trees … how the green leaves etc.’. appear withered, and how all their leaves are stripped, with the exception of fourteen trees which are not stripped, which remain with the old foliage until the new comes after two or three years.
